Tentacle Technologies is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Analyst to join its IT team supporting critical finance sector systems. You will drive project delivery, ensure stability, and act as a bridge between business and technical stakeholders to achieve high-impact outcomes.

The role demands deep IT project delivery experience, SME expertise in Unit Trust/Asset Management, and strong Java-based technical skills across modern web technologies and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of IT application delivery, support, or IT project management.
• At least 5 years as a SME in Unit Trust, Asset Management, or Investment-related systems.
• Strong knowledge of Java/Java EE, RESTful APIs, and microservices.
• Experience with Spring, Oracle databases, and middleware platforms.
• Familiar with CI/CD tools, monitoring, and React Native.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage IT projects to deliver system enhancements on time and within budget.
• Supervise and motivate the technical team and monitor progress against deadlines.
• Design, analyse, code and test programs for system development and enhancements.
• Provide application support, monitor performance, and ensure SLAs are met.
• Liaise with business, vendors, and development teams to deliver quality outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with IT standards, QA SDLC procedures, and audit requirements.
• Assign resources to analyze and resolve problems, escalating as needed.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Analyst to join a dynamic IT team supporting critical systems within the finance sector. In this role, you will drive the successful delivery of projects and system enhancements, ensure application stability and performance, and act as a key liaison between business and technical stakeholders. What You'll Do

• Plan and manage IT projects, applying sound project management principles to deliver system enhancements on time and within budget
• Supervise and motivate the technical team, managing work assignments and monitoring progress against deadlines
• Design, analyse, code and test programs for system development and enhancements based on user requirements
• Provide application support, monitor system performance and availability, and ensure SLAs are consistently met
• Liaise with business counterparts, vendors, and development/support teams to resolve issues and deliver quality outcomes
• Ensure compliance with IT standards, policies, QA SDLC procedures, and audit requirements
• Promptly assign resources to analyse and resolve problems, escalating where necessary to mitigate business impact

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT application delivery, support, or IT project management
• At least 5 years of experience as a Subject Matter Expert in Unit Trust, Asset Management, or Investment-related systems
• Strong technical foundation in Java / Java EE, RESTful APIs, Microservices, and modern web technologies
• Hands-on experience with Spring Framework, Oracle databases, and middleware platforms
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools, monitoring solutions, and mobile development frameworks such as React Native
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills
