Job summary

Bidfood Malaysia Sdn Bhd, based in Shah Alam, is seeking an Accounts Payable Executive to handle day-to-day AP activities. The role requires careful processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliations while supporting month-end closing and ad-hoc finance tasks.

The ideal candidate holds a accounting diploma or degree, has a minimum of 2 years’ AP experience, and is proficient in Excel with familiarity in SAP/Oracle/SQL Accounting. FMCG exposure is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Accounts Payable or related accounting functions.
• Experience in FMCG, foodservice, retail, trading, or distribution is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounts payable operations, including invoice checking, verification, and posting into the accounting system.
• Prepare and process payment transactions in accordance with company procedures and approval requirements.
• Perform regular reconciliation of supplier statements, bank balances, and accounts payable records to ensure accuracy.
• Monitor accounts payable transactions and follow up on outstanding invoices, payment issues, and account discrepancies.
• Handle petty cash claims, staff reimbursement, and related supporting documents accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure all invoices, payment records, claims, and accounting documents are properly filed and maintained for audit purposes.
• Liaise with internal departments, suppliers, auditors, tax agents, bankers, and other external parties on finance-related matters when required.
• Assist in month-end closing activities and ensure assigned tasks are completed within the required timeline.
• Support the Finance Manager with any ad-hoc tasks or assignments as required.

JOB SUMMARY

The Accounts Payable Executive is responsible for handling the day-to-day accounts payable functions, including invoice processing, payment preparation, petty cash claims, staff reimbursement, filing of accounting records, and supporting month-end closing activities. The role requires someone detail-oriented, organised, and able to work closely with internal departments, vendors, and the Finance team to ensure accurate and timely processing of payments.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in Accounts Payable or related accounting functions.
• Experience in FMCG, foodservice, retail, trading, or distribution industry will be an added advantage.
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, SQL Accounting, or similar accounting software.
• Detail-oriented, organised, and able to meet deadlines with a high level of accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal departments and external parties.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate well with internal teams.
