Job summary

TikTok is seeking a qualified candidate for the Safety Model Operations team to help build, optimize, and maintain machine learning models supporting trust and safety across regions.

The role focuses on QA activities, data evaluation, and governance to ensure high-quality labeling, risk assessment, and SOPs for global enforcement teams. Strong English and German communication are required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in internet Trust & Safety, QA, AI data evaluation, or policy operations.
• Exceptional logical reasoning and synthesis skills with ability to handle ambiguous scenarios.
• Professional working proficiency in English with strong written and verbal communication.
• Strong ownership, self-motivation, and ability to work in fast-paced, cross-border environments.
• German proficiency is mandatory for daily liaison with the German market.

Responsibilities

• Construct and iterate Golden Sets for safety data standards and model evaluation.
• Deep-dive analyses on high-risk safety cases to identify misapplication patterns and trends.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to identify system vulnerabilities and improve QA metrics.
• Establish daily QA mechanisms and track data accuracy for operational efficiency.
