Job summary

TikTok is seeking a qualified professional for the Safety Model Operations (SMO) team in Malaysia. You will help build, optimize, and maintain ML-driven safety models and QA processes to ensure compliant and safe content across regions.

The role focuses on QA for each project, with responsibilities including labeling reviews, KPI monitoring, risk analysis, and workflow optimization. Mandarin proficiency is required for liaison with the China team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in journalism, sociology, or related fields.
• Keen sense of content safety and online awareness, able to accurately identify implicit risks and understand policies and rules.
• Strong pattern summarization abilities, with proficiency in content review, public opinion monitoring, and common tools like Excel.
• Flexible thinking, strong sense of responsibility, and good cross-department communication and coordination skills, as well as emergency response capabilities.
• Strong learning ability and high comprehension, able to quickly adapt to changes in regulatory policies and the content ecosystem of the platform.
• Mandarin proficiency is also required, as it is mandatory for daily liaison with the China team in the China market and the accurate communication of business information.

Responsibilities

• Interpret regulations, community standards, and platform policies, converting them into actionable guidelines. Build a case database to ensure consistent judgments across different scenarios.
• Monitor the content ecosystem of user-generated content (UGC) and producer-generated content (PGC), proactively identifying explicit and implicit content risks, as well as borderline content risks, and extracting risk characteristics.
• Handle emergent content safety risk events, quickly defining the issues and prioritizing actions, promoting cross-department collaboration to complete the resolution loop and optimize the review process.
• Produce risk assessment reports to provide decision support for optimizing platform rules and review strategies.
• Proficient in using content review tools, public opinion monitoring systems, and data analysis tools, collaborating with operations, safety product, and other teams to implement risk prevention strategies.
