RBC Investor Services Malaysia in Putrajaya is seeking an Administrator, Securities Lending to ensure timely settlement of trades across 31 markets. The role supports the UK region and requires handling multiple channels with a 3:00 pm–12:00 am schedule.

You will process transactions, liaise with borrowers, manage SLAs, uphold risk controls, and contribute to process improvements while maintaining accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and strong data handling skills.
• Relevant tertiary education qualification.
• Efficient in time management and prioritization.
• Experience in custodian banks would be advantageous.
• Willingness to take on new challenges, confident and self-motivated.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage workloads with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Capture and process securities lending transactions from multiple channels (manual, STE, STP).
• Engage in securities lending operations across markets to ensure high performance.
• Serve as contact for securities lending borrowers (Investment Banks/Prime Brokerage) and promote RBC image.
• Adhere to risk factors of unsettled trades and seek mitigation.
• Observe SLA requirements and keep trades updated accordingly.
• Demonstrate high competency and accuracy in validating processes.
• Maintain knowledge of market practices across markets.
• Identify opportunities for technology and process improvements to reduce cost and improve service quality.

What is the opportunity?

Investor Services Malaysia is a processing center of operational excellence supporting 10 countries across three geographic time zones. The country employs a global operating model to maximize efficiencies across time zones and supports a 24/7 operations. As an Administrator, Securities Lending, you will be responsible for timely settlement of all Securities Lending trade activity across 31 international markets. You will be supporting UK region. Working hours would be between 3:00pm and 12:00am.

What will you do?

• Capture and process securities lending transactions that were received via different channels; manual, straight-through-entry (STE) and straight-through-processing (STP).
• Engaged in Securities Lending operational activity across multiple markets to ensure the highest levels of performance are achieved
• Act as a recognized point of contact for Securities Lending borrowers (typically Investment Banks and Prime Brokerage units), communicating effectively to promote a positive reflection of RBC Investor Services to the market.
• Adherence to risk factors associated with unsettled trades and seek ways of mitigation.
• Strict adherence to agreed service level agreement (SLA) and ensure all trades are updated according to SLA.
• Demonstrate high level of competency with the capability to validate overall processes with excellent accuracy.
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of market practice across markets
• Support the identification of new technology and operational improvements to effectively ensure accuracy, reduce costs and increase service quality.
