SUPPORTS WM GLOBAL OPERATIONS TRANSFORMATION OBJECTIVES



  • Business and process analysis, risk and issue management and activity tracking

  • Ensure best practice is deployed through active engagement with all areas of Operations and their stakeholders

  • Adopt a flexible approach to working to ensure appropriate skills, capabilities, and expertise are deployed to support different initiatives

  • Employ a prudent balance of good governance, business controls and process, through agile and dynamic delivery

  • Lead initiatives to streamline workflows, mitigate operational risks, create capacity and enhance cost savings


IMPLEMENTS IDEAS


  • Design and develop automated workflows using AI to replace/supplement manual processes (e.g. data extraction, reconciliation).

  • Collaborate with Operations teams to identify automation opportunities and contribute to project prioritization.

  • Document automation solutions, including process flows and user guides.

  • Participate in training and mentoring team members on automation tools and AI.

  • Contribute to ad hoc projects addressing emerging automation needs


LOOKS TOWARDS CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT


  • Identify ideas to capitalise on opportunities for efficiency, automation, re-engineering and reducing operational risks

  • Actively engage with teams and wider business areas to foster relationships and develop thought leadership

  • Build and maintains a network of internal and external contacts to share best practice, key learnings, and opportunities for development

  • Adopt a structured approach to problem solving, and work through issues

  • Lead and create initiatives to assist in monitoring and optimizing existing automated processes.


Capabilities (experience & Competencies)


  • Relevant degree or formal business qualification

  • 10+years experience of Financial Services and Banking Operations

  • Experience in Project Management/Change Management/Process Optimization/Robotic Process Automation

  • Good understanding of AI tools and programming skills (e.g. Python, SQL etc)

  • Good presentation skills and presence; effective relationship management with senior managers

  • Ability to work with diverse stakeholders aligned with emotional intelligence; and maturity

  • Ability to work in a team-based and collegial environment where consensus-building is a key to success

  • Strive to shape thinking around creative solutions
