Job summary

RBC Investor & Treasury Services Malaysia seeks a detail-oriented professional to support custody and back-office operations, covering reconciliation, settlements, and reporting. The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and effective communication within a 24/5 framework in a contract setting.

Based in Putrajaya, you will handle daily reconciliations, respond to inquiries, and assist in entitlement and cash management related processes, contributing to service quality for multiple countries.

Qualifications

• Custody and banking operations experience in back office.
• Basic to fair knowledge of reconciliations.
• Understanding in entitlements, cash management, transaction management, settlements, fund accounting is a plus.
• Flexible working hours and ability to adapt to shifts.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient computer literacy and systems use.
• Able to work effectively in a team to achieve goals.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Review and clearance of daily cash and stock reconciliations.
• Investigate and respond to email queries in a timely manner.
• Investigate cash and asset breaks and route to the right departments.
• Collate and maintain periodic reporting and procedures to support client/business needs.
• Maintain statistical information for internal and client distribution.

Our client has a processing centre of operational excellence supporting 10 countries across three geographical time zones employing a Global Operating Model to maximise efficiencies across times zones and supports a 24/5 operational capability. The objectives for Malaysia are to enhance the scalability of their global operations, improve service quality via their ‘centres of excellence’ and to implement/leverage standardised processes globally.

RBC Investor & Treasury Services Malaysia is a processing center of operational excellence supporting 10 countries across three geographical time zones. Malaysia is a processing hub that supports Custody - Transaction Management; Settlements; NAV Production; Fund Reporting; Shareholder Services; Global Fund Platform Services; Data Service Delivery; Entitlements – income and corporate actions and Reconciliations. The country employs a Global Operating Model to maximise efficiencies across times zones and supports a 24/5 operational capability. The objectives for Malaysia are to enhance the scalability of our global operations, improve service quality via our ‘centres of excellence’ and to implement/leverage standard processes globally.

Working Hours : 3pm-12am / 4pm-1am

What will you do?

• Review and clearance of daily cash and stock reconciliations via Reconciliations Platform.


• E-mail queries are investigated and responded on a timely manner.


• Investigation of all cash and asset breaks and ensure they are assigned to the right departments.


• Collate and maintain required periodic reporting and procedures as required to support the client and/or business needs.


• Collate and maintain statistical information for internal and client distribution.

Must-have

• Custody and Banking experience in operations / back office.


• Basic/Fair Reconciliations knowledge


• Added Advantage : Understanding in other functions like Entitlements, Cash Management, Transaction Management, Settlements, Fund Accounting


• Flexibility in working hours


• Excellent attention to detail


• Computer literate


• Flexible and able to work in a team to achieve goals


• Excellent communication skills.
