Job summary

Alfawise International (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage the full set of accounts (AP, AR, GL) and lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings, ensuring timely financial reporting in Malaysia.

You will prepare management reports, monitor cash flow, ensure compliance with Malaysian accounting standards, SST and corporate tax, liaise with banks and auditors, and support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning, with English and Mandarin fluency

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in handling a full set of accounts.
• Proficient in SQL Accounting (SQL/SQP) software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards, taxation regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Proficient in English and Mandarin to communicate with the Taiwan team.
• Detail-oriented, trustworthy, and highly organized, with a commitment to confidentiality and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Handle the full set of accounts (AP, AR, GL) and bank reconciliations.

• Monitor receivables, payables, and collections to support cash flow.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, SST, corporate tax, and audits.
• Liaise with banks, auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries on financial matters.
• Provide budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and planning support to management.
• Perform ad-hoc financial and accounting duties as assigned.

Job description

· Handle the full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and bank reconciliations.

· Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

· Prepare management reports, cash flow statements, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets.

· Monitor receivables, payables, and collections to support effective cash flow management.

· Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, taxation requirements, SST, corporate tax, and statutory audit requirements.

· Liaise with banks, auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries on financial, banking, and statutory matters.

· Provide financial support to management on budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and business planning.

· Perform ad-hoc financial and accounting duties as assigned from time to time.

System & Process

· Proficiently use SQL (SQL Accounting / SQP) accounting software for data entry, financial reporting, and analysis.

· Maintain accurate and well-organised financial documentation and records in accordance with company policies and statutory requirements.

· Identify opportunities and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.
