Job summary

Global Fine Wood Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage full sets of accounts, monthly statements, and cash flow analysis in Kedah, Malaysia. You will liaise with auditors and tax agents, ensure SST and tax filings, and support budgeting and forecasting.

The role requires ACCA affiliation, a Bachelor's in Accounting, at least 5 years’ experience, and proficiency in SQL or SAP. Mandarin speakers encouraged; permanent residency in Malaysia preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• ACCA Affiliate or Member is required.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting or auditing experience.
• Knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and local tax regulations.
• Proficient in accounting software (SQL, SAP, or equivalent) and MS Office.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Meticulous, responsible and positive attitude.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Chinese for daily work docking; English, Bahasa Melayu and Mandarin encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Maintain full set of accounts including general ledger, AP/AR, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and cash flow analysis.
• Ensure timely submission of SST, tax filings, and statutory payments (EPF, SOCSO).
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Conduct internal audits to evaluate financial controls and compliance.
• Identify and report discrepancies or areas for improvement in accounting and operations.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies.
• Support Finance Manager in implementing best practices and procedures.
• Submit related monthly reports to headquarters in China.

3.Ensure timely submission of SST, tax filings, and statutory payments (e.g., EPF, SOCSO).

4.Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

5.Conduct internal audits to evaluate financial controls, processes, and compliance.

6.Identify and report discrepancies or areas of improvement in accounting and operational practices.

7.Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies.

8.Support the Finance Manager in implementing best practices and financial procedures.

9.Perform related monthly reporting submission to the headquarters in China.

Job Requirements:
