Job summary

FriedRice Entertainment (M) Sdn. Bhd. is looking for a proactive Senior Finance Executive to manage day-to-day financial operations and ensure timely, reliable financial reporting. You will maintain full sets of accounts, support month-end and year-end closings, and work with auditors and tax authorities.

The role requires 3–5 years of hands-on accounting experience, strong Excel and accounting software skills, and the ability to work independently within a dynamic Finance/Operations team.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain a full set of accounts and support month-end and year-end closing.

• Process supplier payments and employee reimbursements accurately.
• Manage intercompany transactions and regulatory reporting (GST/SST).
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents and regulators on accounting matters.
• Prepare management reports and ad hoc financial analyses.

Job description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Finance Executive to support the day-to-day financial operations of the Company and ensure accurate, timely and reliable financial reporting. The role will be responsible for maintaining a full set of accounts, supporting the month-end and year-end closing process, managing key accounting and finance activities. The successful candidate should be able to work independently, take ownership of assigned responsibilities and provide timely support to management on financial matters.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a full set of accounts and ensure timely and smooth month-end and year-end closing.


• Take ownership of assigned accounting and finance functions, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately, completely and in accordance with accounting standards and Company policies.


• Coordinate the month-end and year-end closing process, including preparation of schedules, account reconciliations and supporting documentation.


• Review financial transactions and account balances to identify discrepancies and ensure timely resolution.


• Ensure timely and accurate processing of supplier payments, employee reimbursements and other outgoing payments.


• Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations across subsidiaries and regional entities.


• Assist in preparation and timely submission of Singapore GST returns and Malaysia SST.


• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents and relevant regulatory authorities on accounting, audit and tax matters.


• Maintain proper and organized accounting records and supporting documentation and ensure adherence to established finance processes.


• Assist in preparing management reports, financial analysis and other ad hoc reports as required.

About you

• Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related field.


• 3-5 years of relevant hands-on experience in accounting and finance, including experience in maintaining full sets of accounts and supporting month-end and year-end closing processes.


• Good knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.


• Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills, with good attention to detail.


• Self-motivated and able to work independently, while working effectively with Finance and Operations team members.


• Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced working environment.


• Demonstrates sound accounting knowledge, good judgement and a strong sense of ownership.


• Experience in financial controls, process improvement, GST, audit or tax matters will be an added advantage.
