Job summary

HDL SOLUTIONS SDN BHD seeks an Account Executive – Accounts Payable (AP) to join our Finance team in Malaysia. The successful candidate will manage day-to-day AP activities, from invoice receipt to payment, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.

The role requires a Diploma/ Degree in Accounting or Finance, with about 1 year of AP experience. Proficiency in Excel and AutoCount is preferred, along with strong attention to detail and ability to work independently to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• 1 year of relevant accounting experience, preferably with hands-on Accounts Payable experience.
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping.
• Familiarity with accounting software; experience with AutoCount is an advantage.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full Accounts Payable process from invoice receipt to payment.
• Verify supplier invoices against Purchase Orders, Delivery Orders and other supporting documents.
• Ensure invoices are properly reviewed, coded and recorded in the accounting system.
• Prepare payment vouchers and payment schedules for management approval.
• Monitor AP ageing and ensure payments are made according to agreed payment terms.
• Perform supplier statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in month-end closing activities and prepare AP-related schedules and supporting documents for monthly reporting.
• Prepare supporting documents and schedules for external audit and tax requirements.

Account Executive – Accounts Payable (AP)

We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Account Executive – Accounts Payable (AP) to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's day-to-day Accounts Payable function, ensuring that supplier invoices, payments, reconciliations and supporting documents are processed accurately and on a timely basis. This role is suitable for someone who is organised, hands‑on, comfortable working with numbers and wants to develop into a well‑rounded finance professional.

Key responsibilities

Manage the full Accounts Payable process from invoice receipt to payment.

Verify supplier invoices against Purchase Orders, Delivery Orders and other supporting documents.

Ensure invoices are properly reviewed, coded and recorded in the accounting system.

Prepare payment vouchers and payment schedules for management approval.

Monitor AP ageing and ensure payments are made according to agreed payment terms.

Perform supplier statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.

Maintain proper filing and documentation of invoices and payment records.

Liaise with suppliers regarding invoices, statements, payments and account discrepancies.

Assist in month‑end closing activities and prepare AP‑related schedules and supporting documents for monthly reporting.

Prepare supporting documents and schedules for external audit and tax requirements.

About you

Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.

1 year of relevant accounting experience, preferably with hands‑on Accounts Payable experience.

Good understanding of basic accounting principles and double‑entry bookkeeping.
