Job summary

NCT FORWARDING & SHIPPING SDN BHD is seeking a competent finance professional to manage full accounting functions and monthly closes in Sabah. You will advise on tax planning strategies and statutory deadlines while supervising the finance team and ensuring accurate reporting.

The role requires timely SST submission, e-Invoice compliance, and adherence to regulatory requirements. You will liaise with bankers, auditors, and tax agents to complete audit schedules and maintain orderly records.

Qualifications

• Must maintain full accounting entries and supporting worksheets for monthly closes.
• Ability to advise management on tax planning strategies and deadlines.
• Experience supervising a accounting team and day-to-day financial operations.
• Knowledge of SST submission and e-Invoice compliance.

-Handling full-sets of accounts, preparing financial statements, month-end closing activities, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed assets register, and intercompany transactions.

-To ensure the completeness of full accounting entries and supporting worksheets or documents for monthly accounts closing by the targeted deadline.

-Advise management of tax planning strategies and statutory deadlines.

-Assist in supervising the team and overseeing day-to-day financial operations.

-Assist in overall financial reporting, taxtation, and audit matters.

-Responsible for timely SST submission and ensuring payments are made to the relevant authority within the deadline.

-Responsible for e-Invoice compliance.

-Ensure compliance with accounting standards, taxation regulations, and other regulatory requirements.

-Liaise with bankers, internal and external auditors, and tax agents.

-To ensure timely preparation and submission of accounts breaking down with audit schedules.

-Proactive and ability to prioritize and manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously.

-Maintain proper record keeping and organized filing system.

-To undertake other duties being assigned or directed by the superior from time to time.
