Job summary

China Railway Engineering Corporation (M) Sdn. Bhd. in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced accountant to manage a full set of accounts and ensure compliance with statutory requirements and accounting standards.

The successful candidate will handle monthly closings, prepare management reports, monitor AP/AR, and liaise with auditors and tax agents. A Diploma or Degree in Accounting and 2+ years of relevant experience are required.

• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience.
• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Experience in handling full set of accounts.
• Proficient in SQL Accounting Software.
• Familiar with SST submission and statutory requirements.
• Independent, responsible, meticulous and able to meet deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle full set of accounts independently.
• Prepare and maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documents.
• Perform monthly accounts closing and bank reconciliation.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Monitor Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Prepare payment vouchers, invoices and relevant accounting documents.
• Handle monthly SST submission and ensure timely compliance.
• Prepare and submit other relevant monthly and periodic statutory submissions.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents and company secretary on relevant matters.
• Assist with year-end closing and preparation of financial statements.
• Ensure accounting records are accurate and comply with relevant accounting standards and statutory requirements.
• Any other tasks which may be assigned from time to time.

Key responsibilities

Handle full set of accounts independently

Prepare and maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documents

Perform monthly accounts closing and bank reconciliation

Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
