Job summary

SWIFT GROUP OF COMPANIES in Penang invites a committed accountant to join our finance team. You will handle monthly closing, manage full AP/AR processes, and maintain GL accounts to ensure precise financial records.

The role requires 2–4 years of relevant experience and proficiency in accounting software and Excel. Based at Taman Intan, Klang, the position emphasizes accuracy, timeliness, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably with hand-on AP, AR and GL.
• Good understanding of month-end closing and account reconciliation.
• Experience with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Good analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Able to work independently and meet month-end closing deadlines.
• Prior audit experience is an added advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly closing activities and ensure accounts are closed accurately and within the required timeline.
• Prepare and review month-end journals, accruals, prepayments and other accounting adjustments.
• Perform reconciliation of General Ledger (GL) accounts and investigate unusual or outstanding balances.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly management reports and financial information.
• Manage the full AP process, including invoice verification, posting and payment processing.
• Perform supplier statement reconciliation and follow up on outstanding items.
• Manage customer billing, receipts and allocation of payments.
• Perform customer account reconciliation and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Monitor AR ageing and assist in collection follow-up.
• Maintain and review GL accounts to ensure transactions are accurately recorded.

Job description

This role encompasses month-end closing and financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management. You will perform monthly closing activities, manage the full AP and AR processes, and maintain GL accounts to ensure accurate financial records.
