Job summary

Modernria Plastic Industries (M) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is hiring two Account Executives to support accounting and finance. The role focuses on sales costing, documentation, and processing of purchase invoices, requiring accuracy and cross-department collaboration.

You will prepare and verify costing, margins, and selling prices; review Sales Orders, Invoices, and related documents; and coordinate with Sales, Production, Planning and Finance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent; professional qualifications welcomed but not mandatory.
• 1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance; fresh graduates are welcome.
• Proficiency in accounting principles and financial reporting; strong Excel/MS Office skills.
• Mandarin proficiency is advantageous for communication with clients and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and check sales costing, including cost, selling price, and margin.
• Check Sales Orders, Delivery Orders, Invoices, and supporting documents.
• Process and verify supplier purchase invoices against PO.
• Maintain records and filing; assist with monthly closing and reconciliations.

Job description

Job Summary
We are looking for 2 Account Executives to support our accounting and finance operations. The positions will focus on sales costing & documentation and purchase invoice processing & checking. Candidates should be detail-oriented, accurate, and able to work closely with other departments.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and check sales costing, including cost, selling price, and margin.

Check Sales Orders, Delivery Orders, Invoices, Credit Notes/Debit Notes, and supporting documents.

Ensure sales-related documents are complete and accurate.

Coordinate with Sales, Production, Planning, and Finance on costing and documentation matters.

Maintain proper records and filing.

Compile and organize supplier purchase invoices.

Key in purchase invoices into the accounting system.

Check supplier invoices against Purchase Orders (PO).

Verify invoice details, quantity, price, and supporting documents.

Follow up with Purchasing and relevant departments on discrepancies.

Maintain proper records and filing.

Assist with supplier statement reconciliation and payment-related matters.

General Accounting Duties

Assist with monthly closing and account reconciliation.

Ensure accounting records and supporting documents are properly maintained.

Perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

Educational Background: Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent. Professional qualifications like LCCI, ACCA, or CIMA are welcomed but not mandatory.

Work Experience: Ideally, 1-3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance. Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.

Technical Proficiency: Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications is essential. Knowledge of SQL accountingsystem is an advantage.

Self-Motivated Team Player:A results-oriented individual who can work independently while contributing positively to the team dynamic.

Problem Solver:Detail-oriented and organized, with a knack for finding innovative solutions to challenges.

Proficient in Chinese, English and Bahasa Melayu to effectively communicate with our diverse client and supplier base (both written and spoken) Candidates who excel in Mandarin will be at an advantage.
