Job summary

TORQUP MALAYSIA SDN BHD is seeking an Account Executive to join the accounting team on a full-time basis in Subang, Selangor. You will manage accounts, support financial operations, and ensure accuracy of financial records while maintaining internal controls.

The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance and proficiency in accounting software and Excel. You will work with internal teams and clients to support payroll and audit activities and contribute to reliable

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Accounts Officer, Accounts Clerk, or similar role.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office applications.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with Malaysian accounting standards and payroll processing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accurate accounting records, including general ledger entries, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Process invoices, purchase orders, and payment transactions in accordance with company procedures and policies.
• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for management review.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions including invoice processing and payments.
• Assist with payroll processing and salary disbursements.
• Maintain secure financial documentation in both physical and digital formats.
• Liaise with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders on accounting matters.
• Support audit activities and provide necessary documentation to auditors.
• Identify and report financial discrepancies and anomalies to senior accounting staff.

About the role

We are seeking an Account Executive to join our accounting team on a full-time basis in Subang, Selangor. As an Account Executive, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality accounting services to our clients whilst maintaining strong internal financial controls.

Key responsibilities

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proven experience as an Accounts Officer, Accounts Clerk, or similar accounting role
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems
• Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulatory requirements
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office applications
• Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy in financial records
• Strong organisational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Professional integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information
• Preferred: Experience with Malaysian accounting standards and regulatory compliance
• Preferred: Knowledge of payroll processing and tax compliance procedures
• Knowledge of SQL accounting software usage experience is a must
