Private Advertiser is seeking an accountant and HR assistant to maintain financial records, process payroll, and manage client coordination in a fast-paced environment.
The role covers AP/AR, GL entries, month-end closures, payroll processing, recruitment tasks, and HR documentation with emphasis on accuracy and confidentiality.
Maintain accounting records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger entries.
Prepare invoices, payment vouchers and supporting documents.
Perform bank reconciliations and follow up on outstanding balances.
Assist with month-end closing and preparation of management accounts.
Process employee expense claims and maintain petty cash records.
Assist with e-Invoice preparation and related documentation.
Organise financial records and prepare schedules for audit and tax purposes.
Obtain the required approvals before processing payments or submissions.
Maintain employee records, attendance, leave applications and HR documentation.
Prepare monthly payroll calculations, including overtime, allowances, deductions and statutory contributions, for review.
Assist with payroll-related submissions and payments, including EPF, SOCSO, EIS and PCB.
Coordinate recruitment, interview scheduling, onboarding and offboarding.
Prepare employment letters and other HR correspondence for management review.
Assist with employee handbooks, HR policies and performance appraisal administration.
Handle routine employee enquiries and refer sensitive matters to management.
Track probation periods, contract renewals and other HR deadlines.
Follow up on missing information and maintain clear records of client instructions and approvals.
Track assigned tasks and deadlines across client accounts.
Provide progress updates and flag discrepancies or delays promptly.
Maintain confidentiality of financial, employee and client information.
Proficiency in Mandarin/English is preferred to communicate
Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
Preferably 1-3 years of relevant accounting and/or HR experience.
Basic knowledge of bookkeeping, payroll processing and Malaysian statutory requirements.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting and payroll software is an advantage.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an advantage.
Accurate, organised and able to manage multiple assignments independently.
