The role supports accurate financial management, reporting, and compliance with accounting standards while contributing to business decision-making. The successful candidate will handle general ledger entries, AP/AR, monthly/quarterly/annual statements, and assist with audits. Prior experience in equipment/manufacturing is preferred, with strong Mandarin, English and Bahasa

Qualifikationen

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4-5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Knowledge of Malaysian accounting regulations and tax requirements.

About the role

LM EQUIPMENT SDN. BHD. is seeking an Account Cum Finance Executive to join our finance team on a full-time basis in Melaka. This role is pivotal to ensuring the accurate financial management and reporting of our operations. As Account Cum Finance Executive, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the integrity of our financial records, supporting compliance with accounting standards, and providing timely financial information to support business decision‑making. This position offers the opportunity to develop a comprehensive skill set across both accounting operations and financial management within a growing organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring timely payment and collection of invoices
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards
• Perform bank reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies or unusual transactions
• Support the preparation of financial reports for management and stakeholders
• Monitor and record fixed asset transactions, including depreciation calculations
• Assist with audit preparations and respond to auditor queries
• Maintain and update accounting documentation and ensure proper filing and record retention
• Assist in monthly closing and year-end accounting activities.
• Identify process improvements and recommend enhancements to accounting procedures
• Perform other ad hoc accounting and finance duties as assigned by management.

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 4-5 years of relevant experience in financial accounting or general accounting roles
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
• Knowledge of Malaysian accounting regulations and tax requirements
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in numerical work
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a collaborative environment
• Professional integrity and commitment to confidentiality
• Required language: Mandarin , English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Preferred: Prior experience in equipment or manufacturing industries
