Private Advertiser is seeking a Finance Executive based in Batu Pahat, Johor to manage the full accounting function. You will oversee accounts payable/receivable, GL, bank reconciliations, and month-/year-end closings, while assisting budgeting and forecasting.

The role requires a Diploma in Accounting with 2–3 years' experience and strong Excel and accounting software skills. You will liaise with auditors and tax agents, manage cash flow and banking transactions, and contribute to process

Qualifications

• Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in financial accounting or related finance role.
• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and reporting standards.
• Knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Handle full set of accounts: AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliations and month-/year-end closing.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis to monitor performance vs budget.
• Monitor daily cash flow and prepare payment schedules ensuring funds are available.
• Maintain accounting records, strengthen internal controls and support process improvements."
• Manage banking transactions including facilities, loan repayments, interest, FX, and reconciliations.
• Maintain finance system and online banking platforms, ensure accurate data entry and timely postings.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, cash flow reports, and other finance reports for management.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, banks, and other relevant parties on financial matters.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join us as a FINANCE EXECUTIVE.

What you'll be doing

Handle the full set of accounts of the Company, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliation, and month-end and year-end closing.

Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to monitor actual financial performance against budget.

Monitor daily cash flow, prepare payment schedules, and ensure sufficient funds for the Company’s operational needs.

Maintain proper accounting records, strengthen internal controls, and support process improvements to enhance financial accuracy and operational efficiency.

Manage banking transactions, including bank facilities, loan repayments, interest calculations, foreign currency transactions, and bank reconciliations.

Manage and maintain the finance system and online banking platforms, ensuring accurate financial data entry, timely transactions posting, and proper authorization and processing of payments and receipts.

Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, cash flow reports, and other financial reports for management review.

Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, banks, and other relevant parties on financial and statutory matters.

To assist or carry out any other duties as and when assigned by superior.

What we’re looking for

At least Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in financial accounting, accounting operations, or a similar finance role.

Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, practices, and reporting standards.

Knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations and accounting requirements is an advantage.

Good command in both spoken and written in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Able to work independently with minimum supervision.

Computer literate and proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manage spreadsheets and financial data effectively.
