Besuto Auto M Sdn Bhd invites applications for an Account Assistant to join our accounting team in Skudai, Johor. This full-time role supports day-to-day financial record-keeping, invoicing, supplier payments, and reporting tasks to keep our accounts accurate and up to date.

You will work with our experienced finance team, utilize accounting software and Excel, and help maintain compliance with Malaysian GST/SST where applicable. A detail-oriented and reliable mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• SPM qualification or equivalent; Malaysian accounting qualifications are advantageous.
• Proven experience in an accounts/clerical role is preferred.
• Strong proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Record and process financial transactions with accuracy in the accounting system.
• Process invoices, purchase orders and expense claims per procedures.
• Maintain and organise financial records and supporting documents.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable including reminders.
• Support monthly financial reports and reconciliations.
• Data entry and clerical accounting duties (billing and supplier invoices).
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.

About the role

We are seeking an Account Assistant to join the accounting team at Besuto Auto M Sdn Bhd. This is a full-time position based in Skudai, Johor. As an Account Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the organisation. You will assist with financial record-keeping, transaction processing, and various administrative accounting tasks that are essential to maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth running of our accounts department.

Key responsibilities

• Recording and processing financial transactions in the accounting system with accuracy and attention to detail (Payment Voucher & Official Receipt)
• Processing invoices, purchase orders and expense claims in accordance with company procedures
• Maintaining and organising financial records and supporting documentation
• Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including sending invoices and payment reminders
• Supporting the preparation of monthly financial reports and reconciliations
• Data entry and clerical duties related to accounting operations (Billing & Supplier Invoices)
• Assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures (SOA Customer & Supplier)
• AR & AP will be departmental functional to generate task

What we're looking for

• SPM qualification or equivalent, with Malaysian accounting qualifications (such as LCCI or Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia in accounting) being highly advantageous
• Proven experience working as an Accounts Officer, Accounts Clerk or in a similar accounting support role
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent numeracy skills with the ability to accurately process financial data and figures
• A high level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all accounting tasks
• Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Knowledge of Malaysian accounting practices and GST/SST compliance is preferred
• Punctuality and reliability with a professional approach to work
