Job summary

Demco Industries Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a detail-oriented accounting and admin professional to handle daily accounting tasks including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger functions, and to assist purchasing activities while supporting other departments.

You will liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary, lawyers and external parties on financial and compliance matters, and contribute to accurate, timely reporting and record-keeping.

• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of data entry into the accounting system.
• Monitor cash flow and assist in basic financial planning.

Job description

Responsible for daily accounting and administrative operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL) functions, as well as assisting in purchasing activities and providing support to other departments as and when required.

Liaise closely with auditors, tax agents, company secretary, lawyers, and relevant external parties on all financial and compliance matters.

Handle month-end closing activities, inventory stock variance analysis, and review and update product costing and management accounts.

Assist in SST-related matters and ensure timely preparation and submission of monthly statutory reports to the relevant authorities.

Coordinate with all departments to ensure smooth execution of business operations and projects.

Maintain proper filing, documentation, and record-keeping in compliance with audit requirements and company SOP.

Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all accounting and financial data entry into the accounting system.

Monitor cash flow position and assist in basic financial planning when required.

Identify and highlight any discrepancies, risks, or irregularities in financial and operational processes to management.

Assist in system and process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness in accounting and administrative workflows.

Perform duties diligently and carry out any ad-hoc tasks assigned by management from time to time.
