Job summary

Demco Industries Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a detail-oriented accounting and admin professional to handle daily accounting tasks including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger functions, and to assist purchasing activities while supporting other departments.

You will liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary, lawyers and external parties on financial and compliance matters, and contribute to accurate, timely reporting and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Handle AP, AR and GL functions as part of daily accounting operations.
• Assist purchasing activities and support other departments.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary, lawyers and external parties on financial matters.
• Manage month-end closing and inventory variance analysis.
• Review and update product costing and management accounts.
• Assist SST-related matters and prepare monthly statutory reports.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure smooth business operations.
• Maintain filing, documentation and audit-compliant records.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of data entry into the accounting system.
• Monitor cash flow and assist in basic financial planning.
• Identify discrepancies and risks, suggest improvements.
• Perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
