About the Role

Our client, a rapidly expanding logistics and distribution company, is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to lead their remote operations. This is a unique opportunity to manage warehouse functions without being physically present on-site, requiring exceptional leadership, communication, and remote oversight skills. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency, safety, and accuracy of warehouse operations across multiple facilities, driving performance through virtual management and data analysis. We are looking for a strategic thinker with a proven track record in warehouse management, inventory control, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will be adept at leveraging technology to monitor operations, implement best practices, and achieve operational excellence from a distance. This role is crucial for optimizing our supply chain performance and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and direct all warehouse operations remotely, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping. Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse layout, workflow, and inventory management processes. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, accuracy, on-time shipping, and costs. Lead, coach, and develop remote warehouse supervisors and teams to ensure high performance. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies across all warehouse facilities. Manage budgets and control operational expenses for the warehouse network. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, sales, and transportation, to ensure seamless supply chain operations. Implement and utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other technologies to enhance operational efficiency. Proactively identify and resolve operational issues and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in warehouse operations management, with a significant portion in a leadership role. Demonstrated success in managing warehouse operations and teams, preferably with remote oversight experience. Expertise in WMS, ERP systems, and other relevant logistics technologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and drive improvements. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively manage and motivate a remote workforce. Proven ability to develop and implement operational strategies. Must have a reliable internet connection and a suitable home office environment.
