Job summary

Amex GBT in Chihuahua, Mexico is seeking a bilingual Travel Counselor to join our onsite team serving corporate clients. You will advise and arrange travel, use GDS tools like Sabre and Amadeus, and ensure policy compliance while protecting traveler information.

The role emphasizes integrity, independent problem solving, and collaboration within the team. Training may be provided, and weekend coverage may be required as part of our 24/7 Traveler Care operation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Travel Counselor.
• SABRE GDS expertise (graphical or Native).
• Advanced English (Fluent written and verbal communication).
• Background in corporate/business travel and airline reservations.
• Ability to handle traveler data with integrity.
• Independent problem-solving skills; escalate to suppliers when needed.
• Team-oriented with openness to feedback.

Responsibilities

• Advise and arrange travel for corporate customers.
• Analyze travel options and anticipate traveler needs.
• Book domestic and international business travel for air, rail and hotels.
• Use GDSs including Sabre, Apollo, Galileo and Amadeus.
• Training may be provided.
• Ensure compliance with travel policy and regulatory requirements.
• Provide excellent service and handle special customer requests.
• Collaborate within your team to coach, mentor and improve service levels.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Travel Counselor
• SABRE GDS expertise (graphical or Native)
• Advanced English (Fluent written and verbal communication)
• Demonstrated background in business travel, corporate, leisure travel, and/or airline reservations
• Act with integrity, and look after personal traveler information
• Ability to resolve customer issues quickly and independently, or elevate to suppliers as needed
• Teamwork and openness to feedback

What You’ll Do

• Advise and arrange travel for corporate business customers (both individuals and groups)
• Conduct analysis and research on travel options, and pro‑actively anticipate traveler needs to sell additional services
• Arrange and book domestic and international business travel, in a variety of complexity, for air, road, rail, and accommodations
• Use various Global Distribution Systems (GDSs), including Sabre, Apollo, Galileo and Amadeus
• Training may be provided
• Ensure compliance to customers’ agreed travel policy, service provider policies, and regulatory requirements
• Use positive telephone service techniques and act on special customer requests
• Collaborate within your team to coach, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to improve service levels

Candidates must reside in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, as this is a full‑time onsite position.

Our Traveler Care team is a 24/7 operation, please be flexible and prepared to work weekends and holidays.
