Job summary

Amex GBT is seeking a bilingual Travel Counselor to join our highly skilled remote team, delivering exceptional service to corporate business clients. You will advise and arrange travel for individuals and groups, using Sabre and other GDS systems, ensuring policy compliance and proactive service.

This onsite role requires you to reside in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, to support the 24/7 Traveler Care operation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering travel solutions for corporate clients.
• Strong understanding of business and leisure travel across carriers.
• Fluent English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to protect traveler data and work independently.
• Team player who accepts feedback and collaborates effectively.

Responsibilities

• Advise and arrange travel for corporate customers, individuals and groups.
• Research options and anticipate traveler needs to upsell services.
• Book domestic and international travel via multiple GDSs (Sabre, Apollo, Galileo, Amadeus).
• Ensure compliance with travel policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with teammates to coach and improve service levels.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Travel Counselor
• SABRE GDS expertise - (graphical or Native)
• Advanced English (Fluent written and verbal communication)
• Demonstrated background in business travel, corporate, leisure travel, and/or airline reservations
• Act with integrity, and look after personal traveler information
• Ability to resolve customer issues quickl y and independently, or elevate to suppliers as needed
• Teamwork and openness to feedback

What You’ll Do

• Advise and arrange travel for corporate business customers (both individuals and groups)
• Conduct analysis and research on travel options, and pro-actively anticipate traveler needs to sell additional services
• Arrange and book domestic and international business travel, in a variety of complexity, for air, road, rail, and accommodations
• Use various Global Distribution Systems (GDSs), including Sabre, Apollo, Galileo and Amadeus. Training may be provided
• Ensure compliance to customers’ agreed travel policy, service provider policies, and regulatory requirements
• Use positive telephone service techniques and act on special customer requests
• Collaborate within your team to coach, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to improve service levels

Candidates must reside in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua , as this is a full-time onsite position

Our Traveler Care team is a 24/7 operation, please be flexible and prepared to work weekends and holidays.
