Job summary

UPS Marken Healthcare Precision Logistics seeks a Logistics Coordinator to track consignments in Mexico, update milestones in Maestro, and select efficient routes that meet delivery windows.

You will manage conditioning steps (dry ice, re-packaging, labeling), obtain a MAWB, notify Dispatch, enter routing legs, and collaborate with Marken offices and service providers to ensure compliant, timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• Intermediate experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Thorough understanding of Aviation/Airline networks.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence others.
• Excellent problem solving and prioritization skills.
• Flexibility in working hours, including weekend coverage.

Responsibilities

• Track every consignment and update milestones in Maestro.
• Coordinate conditioning processes (dry ice replenishment, re-packaging, labeling) as required.
• Define the best routing to final destination considering direct flight availability, cost, and carrier experience.
• Obtain a pre-booked MAWB and consign to the receiving agent or MARKEN office.
• Inform Dispatch that shipment is ready to be tendered to the Airline as per the respective COT.
• Enter routing legs into Maestro and monitor milestone compliance.
• Liaise with Marken network and service providers to meet customer requirements.
• Analyze repetitive operational problems and propose service improvements.

Job Purpose:

To track every consignment to destination under the most expedite and efficient routing to ensure compliance with client requirements and Marken Quality Standards.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure all shipments are tracked and milestones are updated in Maestro.
• Ensure conditioning process of the shipment as required and update the proper milestone in Maestro. This conditioning process may include: Dry Ice Replenishment, Re-packaging and / or Labeling
• Define the best possible route to dispatch the shipment to its final destination taking in consideration:
  • Direct Flight using OAG to find out flight availability.
  • Cheapest Option
  • Most Experienced Airline
  • Arrival times to comply with scheduled delivery requirements.
• Obtain a pre-booked MAWB and consign to the receiving agent or MARKEN office.
• Inform Dispatch that a shipment is ready to be tendered to the Airline as per the respective COT.
• Enter the applicable routing legs into Maestro
• Send the Domestic Alert through Maestro and confirm reception
• Use the appropriate reporting tools to monitor compliance of milestones in Maestro.
• Liaise with all relevant departments within the Global and Domestic Marken network to ensure that all customer requirements are met.
• Collaborate with all Marken offices and Local Service Providers to ensure the logistics transfer is handled efficiently thus meeting the desired turnaround times.
• Analysis of repetitive operational problems and development of possible service solutions.

Requirements:
