Eaton's IS VEH EMB division seeks a Test Technician in Mexico. You will provide production support for electrical test equipment, train operators, and help optimize test fixtures and processes.

This role emphasizes diagnosis, calibration coordination, and collaboration with engineering on NPI activities. The position requires a technical electronics/Electromechanics degree and 1–3 years of hands-on experience with test equipment, schematics, and soldering.

Formación

• Technical degree in Electronics, Electromechanics, or Electrical Technology.
• 1-3 years of experience in electrical test and equipment areas or similar.
• 1-3 years of experience building electronic products.
• Knowledge of testing processes and PCBA analysis.
• Ability to interpret electrical diagrams/schematics.
• Proficient in measurement equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and LCR meters.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience using soldering irons and soldering processes.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain electrical test equipment in good operating condition according to maintenance schedules.
• Develop and validate test fixtures and harnesses.
• Apply knowledge of electronic assembly failure analysis and soldering processes.
• Support supplier management activities and follow up on fixture/equipment-related work.
• Read and interpret schematics (electrical diagrams) of products under test as a reference for analysis.
• Provide basic training to test machine operators on proper operation and use.
• Verify fixture versions/revisions, test programs, and required reference documentation needed to perform electrical testing.
• Comply with operating procedures and standards.
• Support the Engineering department in New Product Introduction (NPI) activities or validation of test equipment through statistical studies (MSA).
• Participate in proposals for performance, cost, and reliability improvements at assigned workstations.
• Diagnose, correct, and validate approved test parameters.
• Coordinate internal and external calibration of test equipment

Eaton’s IS VEH EMB division is currently seeking a Test Technician.

Eaton announced, on June 11, 2026, the intent to combine its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) with a new company. We expect to complete this process by the end of the first half of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. What You’ll Do

Responsible for providing production support and support to Electrical Test equipment, training personnel, providing feedback to production lines regarding electrical equipment, and performing preventive maintenance on fixtures and testing machines.

Essential Functions

1. Maintain electrical test equipment in good operating condition according to maintenance schedules.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications

• Technical degree in Electronics, Electromechanics, or Electrical Technology.

Preferred Education Level

• 1- 3- years of experience in electrical test and equipment areas and/or similar position.
• 1-3 years of experience (preffered) on building electronic products.
• Knowledge of testing processes and PCBA analysis.
• Ability to interpret electrical diagrams/schematics.
• Proficient in the use of measurement equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and LCR meters.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience using soldering irons and soldering processes.

Technical Knowledge

• Strong knowledge in IPC-A-610, IPC-7711/21 and basic knowledge of IATF-16949.
• Strong knowledge on programming (CVI, Labview or Chroma preffered)
