Eaton eMobility Tijuana seeks a skilled Electrical Test Technician to provide production support and assist with electrical test equipment maintenance. You will train operators, develop fixtures, and help improve testing processes through analysis of PCBA and schematics.

The role requires hands-on experience with multimeters, oscilloscopes, and LCR meters, plus soldering proficiency and solid knowledge of IPC-related standards. Join a dynamic team at our Tijuana site.

Competenze

• Technical degree in Electronics, Electromechanics, or Electrical Technology.
• 1-3 years of experience in electrical test and equipment areas and/or similar position.
• 1-3 years of experience on building electronic products.
• Knowledge of testing processes and PCBA analysis.
• Ability to interpret electrical diagrams/schematics.
• Proficient in the use of measurement equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and LCR meters.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience using soldering irons and soldering processes.

What you'll do:

Responsible for providing production support and support to Electrical Test equipment, training personnel, providing feedback to production lines regarding electrical equipment, and performing preventive maintenance on fixtures and testing machines.

Essential Functions:

• 1 Maintain electrical test equipment in good operating condition according to maintenance schedules.
• 2 Develop and validate test fixtures and harnesses.
• 3 Apply knowledge of electronic assembly failure analysis and soldering processes.
• 4 Support supplier management activities and follow up on fixture/equipment-related work.
• 5 Read and interpret schematics (electrical diagrams) of products under test as a reference for analysis.

Qualifications:

Basic qualifications:

Preferred education level:

• Technical degree in Electronics, Electromechanics, or Electrical Technology.

Years and area of experience required:

• 1- 3- years of experience in electrical test and equipment areas and/or similar position.
• 1-3 years of experience (preffered) on building electronic products.
• Knowledge of testing processes and PCBA analysis.
• Ability to interpret electrical diagrams/schematics.
• Proficient in the use of measurement equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and LCR meters.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience using soldering irons and soldering processes.

Technical knowledge:

• Strong knowledge in IPC-A-610, IPC-7711/21 and basic knowledge of IATF-16949.
