Job summary

Atomic Hr is seeking a Technical SEO Lead to oversee technical SEO across a portfolio of higher-education and nonprofit partner accounts. You will craft developer-ready specs, fix issues, and guide AI-driven workflows to automate audits, reporting, QA, and content production.

You will work with the SEO Lead and the Executive Director of SEO, ensuring crawler access, structured data, and content structure support LLM-driven search.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SEO, with at least 3 focused on technical SEO
• Track record of uncovering high-impact issues and fixing them
• Hands-on with Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, and Ahrefs/SEMrush
• Strong WordPress knowledge to spec fixes precisely
• Advanced experience with Claude, including building agents and AI-assisted workflows
• Clear written communication; able to write dev specs and client recommendations
• Comfort owning outcomes across many accounts at once

Responsibilities

• Lead technical SEO across client accounts
• Run technical audits: crawlability, indexation, architecture, internal linking, Core Web Vitals, structured data, redirects, broken links
• Prioritize issues by impact and defend calls
• Write dev-ready specs and follow through on fixes
• Handle light WordPress tasks: titles, meta descriptions, redirects, schema
• Monitor Search Console and GA4 for drops and indexing problems
• Own technical readiness for AI search (AEO/GEO)
• Design and build Claude-based tools and workflows for audits, reporting, QA
• Build content production systems translating briefs into drafts
• Document systems and train the team to run them
• Connect Search Console, GA4, crawl exports, and Ahrefs/Semrush into workflows
