Job summary

Atomic Hr is seeking a Technical SEO Lead to orchestrate technical SEO across a portfolio of higher education clients, improving visibility in traditional and AI-driven search. You will write developer-ready specs, fix issues, and build Claude-based tools that scale audits, QA, and content production.

You’ll collaborate with the SEO Lead and Executive Director of SEO. You’ll own technical readiness for AI search (AEO/GEO), optimize structured data, and drive content structure that LLM-driven

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SEO with at least 3 focused on technical SEO
• Proven track record of identifying high-impact issues and driving fixes
• Hands-on with Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs or Semrush
• Strong WordPress knowledge to spec fixes
• Advanced Claude experience building AI-assisted workflows
• Clear written communication and ability to own outcomes across many accounts

Responsibilities

• Lead technical SEO across client accounts, auditing crawlability, indexation, site architecture, internal linking, Core Web Vitals, structured data, redirects, and broken links
• Prioritize issues by impact and defend decisions; write dev-ready specs and verify fixes
• Build Claude-based tools and workflows for audits, reporting, QA, and content production
• Create scalable systems to run the SEO service and document them for the team
• Support client success by joining calls on deep technical topics and advising on emergent search technologies
