Job summary

Atomic Hr seeks a Technical SEO Lead to drive technical SEO across a portfolio of higher education partners. You will write developer-ready specs, oversee audits, and ensure fixes are live, while also building Claude-based tools to automate audits, QA, and reporting.

You’ll collaborate with the SEO Lead and Executive Director of SEO, owning outcomes across multiple accounts and shaping AI-enabled workflows that scale the service.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SEO with at least 3 focused on technical SEO
• Proven ability to uncover high-impact issues and drive fixes
• Hands-on experience with Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, and Ahrefs or Semrush
• Strong WordPress knowledge to spec fixes precisely
• Advanced hands-on experience with Claude and AI workflows
• Clear written communication for specs and client-friendly recommendations
• Comfort owning outcomes across many accounts

Responsibilities

• Lead technical SEO across client accounts
• Run technical audits covering crawlability, indexation, site architecture, internal linking, Core Web Vitals, structured data, redirects, and broken links
• Write dev-ready specs and verify fixes
• Handle light WordPress implementation: titles, meta descriptions, plugin redirects, and schema
• Monitor Search Console and GA4 for drops, errors, and indexing issues
• Own technical readiness for AI search (AEO/GEO) with structured data and content structure
• Design and build Claude-based tools, agents, and workflows for audits, prioritization, reporting, and QA
• Build content production systems translating briefs and targets into near-publish-ready drafts
• Translate standards into reusable systems for the team
• Connect Search Console, GA4, crawl exports, and Ahrefs/Semrush into actionable workflows
• Document systems and train the team to save time and improve results
