Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Technical Sales & Development Manager in Tultitlan, Mexico, to lead a global accounts interface and drive packaging innovation. This hybrid, full-time role reports to the Director of Technical Sales & Development Global Accounts and engages across R&D, quality, and sustainability teams.

You will translate customer needs into feasible, sustainable packaging solutions, manage technical feasibility and change requests, and support account growth across multiple plants and regions

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline.
• Experience in packaging, technical sales, or product development within plastics.
• Knowledge of plastic conversion processes and mold design.
• Industry standards for FMCG packaging, food safety, and sustainability.

• Act as the primary technical interface for strategic enterprise key accounts.

Job Purpose

The Technical Sales & Development Manager supports strategic enterprise key accounts by acting as the primary technical interface between Amcor and the customer. The role drives business growth through proactive technical engagement, new product development, and coordination across global sites. It ensures customer technical needs are translated into feasible, competitive, and sustainable packaging solutions and strengthens long‑term partnerships while supporting Amcor’s innovation and sustainability agenda.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of plastic conversion processes, injection molding, mold design and manufacturing, and packaging development.
• Industry/regulatory knowledge of FMCG packaging requirements, food safety, sustainability and recyclability expectations, and customer technical standards.
• Excellent customer-facing communication; ability to influence without authority and collaborate in a matrix environment.
• Project coordination skills across multiple sites, with the ability to manage timelines, risks and priorities.
• Strategic thinking and an innovation mindset.
