OPmobility in Monterrey, Mexico is seeking a seasoned Packaging & Supply Chain specialist to lead packaging and flow optimization initiatives within the automotive sector.

You will build business cases, collaborate with suppliers and customers, and drive KPI improvements across on-time delivery, cost, and CO2, while aligning with North American practices.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in packaging design or equivalent experience in automotive industry.
• 5-7 years' experience in automotive packaging or Transportation Management with project management.
• Understanding of packaging standards in automotive and packaging design/validation processes.
• Business case management experience.
• Understanding of automotive supply chain processes; CATIA knowledge.
• Collaboration, relationship building, attention to details, and sense of urgency.
• Fluent in Spanish and English; NAFTA culture familiarity.

Responsabilidades

• Lead packaging and flow optimization initiatives to reduce transport costs, enhance efficiency, and ensure seamless collaboration across suppliers, customers, and plant operations.
• Define and execute packaging and flow optimization projects with clear action plans.
• Build and present business cases for leadership approval.
• Deliver against performance ambitions & KPI improvement in on-time delivery, cost, CO2 and all other performance indicators.
• Analyze packaging flows to identify inefficiencies and non-value-added activities.
• Collaborate with suppliers, customers, and engineers to prototype and validate solutions.

• Lead packaging and flow optimization initiatives to reduce transport costs, enhance efficiency, and ensure seamless collaboration across suppliers, customers, and plant operations.
• Main deliverables
• Define and execute packaging and flow optimization projects with clear action plans
• Build and present business cases for leadership approval
• Deliver against performance ambitions & KPI improvement in on-time delivery, cost, CO2 and all other Performance indicators of the 360 degrees-performance dashboards

Activities

• Analyze packaging flows to identify inefficiencies and non-value-added activities
• Assess packaging performance & efficiency (damage rates, load density, stackability, foldability etc.)
• Propose packaging flow & design improvements, considering material protection, handling, stackability and transport cost
• Lead the implementation of flow and packaging optimization projects,
• Collaborate with suppliers, customers, and engineers to prototype and validate solutions
• Update SOPs and handling guidelines to reflect improvements
• Collaboration and contribution to create a packaging catalog and/ or unique database
