Job summary

Nextpower is seeking a Structural Engineer II in Mexico City to join the Project Engineering Team and support utility-scale PV projects from development through construction. You will manage day-to-day structural activities, perform wind and seismic analyses, size foundations, and prepare documentation for quotes and engineering packages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering; master’s preferred.
• 5+ years of structural engineering experience, EPC solar preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US standards (IBC/ASCE/ASTM/AISC/ACI).

Responsibilities

• Produce structural design calculations for solar tracker racking systems.
• Review site conditions and perform preliminary structural calculations.
• Conduct wind, seismic, and foundation analyses and prepare calculation packages.
• Provide construction support and respond to RFIs and submittals.
• Develop knowledge of Nextpower products to inform design decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-regional engineering teams to maintain standards.
