Job summary

Allient Inc. is seeking a Purchasing Supervisor to join our Reynosa, Mexico facility. The role focuses on procuring raw materials, equipment, and supplies, coordinating PO activities, and ensuring cost-effective procurement strategies.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3–5 years of purchasing experience in manufacturing, with strong knowledge of ERP systems and MS Office. Travel capability is required as part of supplier management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, International Business, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in Purchasing, Materials, Supply Chain, or a related area, preferably in a manufacturing or maquiladora environment.
• Technical knowledge of Purchasing processes, Material Planning and MRP, inventory control, supply chain KPIs, ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Establishes procedures to accomplish procurement of a variety of materials in a cost-effective manner.
• Prepares and assigns purchase orders and change notices to purchasing agents.
• Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and prepares market analysis reports.
• Reviews and monitors requisitions, supply sources, supplies, quotations, terms, etc.
• Recommends major purchases of materials on the basis of anticipated changes in prices or on unusual availability situations.
• Reviews purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
• Monitors performance and capabilities of vendors to ensure delivery, quality, and price commitments.
• Develops and installs clerical and office procedures and practices, and studies workflow to determine expediency of installing new or improved office machines.
