Job summary

WK Kellogg Co in Mexicali seeks a Specialist, HR Labor Relations & Payroll to support HR operations for the plant. You will manage employee master data, pre-payroll activities, benefits and labor relations, ensuring compliance and accurate payroll processing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
  • Experience with payroll systems, pre-payroll processes, employee administration, and attendance management.
  • Working knowledge of SAP and Kronos.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of employee benefits administration and HR documentation processes.
  • Understanding of Mexican labor requirements and HR compliance practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information.
  • Advanced English proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain employee master data in SAP, ensuring changes transfer to payroll.
  • Review and validate pre-payroll inputs: attendance, vacations, absences, leaves, bonuses, payments.
  • Ensure local HR processes align with policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Support administration of employee benefits and savings programs with external providers as needed.
  • Assist internal audits and regulatory reviews (IMSS, Ministry of Labor) for compliance.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files and HR records.
  • Prepare employment contracts and documentation for new hires.
  • Support positive employee relations and initiatives for a stable, respectful work environment.
  • Participate in new hire orientation and quarterly/annual employee communications.
  • Prepare and maintain HR metrics and reports to support business needs.

As a Specialist, HR Labor Relations & Payroll , you will play a key role in supporting HR operations for our Mexicali Plant. You will be responsible for employee master data administration, pre-payroll activities, employee benefits, labor relations, compliance, and HR reporting.

This role ensures the accurate processing of employee information and payroll-related transactions, including attendance, vacation, leaves of absence, disability, special payments, weekly and semiannual bonuses, savings fund programs, and termination payments.

You will also support internal and regulatory audits, maintain accurate employee records, and help foster positive employee relations while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable labor regulations.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
  • Employee Data & Payroll Support: Manage and maintain employee master data in SAP, ensuring personnel changes and updates are accurately transferred to payroll.

  • Pre-Payroll Administration: Review and validate payroll-related inputs, including attendance, vacation, absences, leaves, disability, bonuses, special payments, savings programs, and termination payments.

  • Policies & Procedures: Ensure local HR processes are aligned with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.

  • Benefits Administration: Support the administration of employee benefits and savings programs, including coordination with external providers as applicable.

  • Compliance & Audits: Support internal audits and regulatory reviews from IMSS, the Ministry of Labor, and other government entities, ensuring compliance with applicable requirements.

  • Employee Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files, documentation, and HR records.

  • New Hire Documentation: Prepare employment contracts and required documentation for new employees.

  • Employee Relations: Support positive employee relations and initiatives that promote a stable, respectful, and productive work environment.

  • Employee Communication: Participate in new hire orientation programs and quarterly and annual employee communication meetings.

  • HR Reporting: Prepare and maintain HR metrics, reports, and documentation to support business and HR needs.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Administration, Human Resources, or a related field . Degree completion required.

  • Experience in payroll systems, pre-payroll processes, employee administration, and attendance management .

  • Working knowledge of SAP and Kronos .

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office .

  • Knowledge of employee benefits administration and HR documentation processes.

  • Understanding of Mexican labor requirements and HR compliance practices.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential employee information.

  • Advanced English proficiency .
