The Opportunity This opportunity is based in Monterrey, MX. The Payroll Controls, Compliance & Operations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and governing critical payroll operational processes while ensuring compliance with established controls, policies, service level agreements (SLAs), and regulatory requirements. This role serves as a key liaison between Payroll Operations, HR, Finance, Payroll Vendors, Internal Controls, and Business stakeholders to ensure payroll accuracy, operational excellence, and effective risk management. In addition to overseeing day-to-day operational activities, the Coordinator plays a critical role in driving process governance, controls standardization, documentation management, audit readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives across payroll operations. The position is expected to proactively identify control gaps, standardize operating procedures, enhance process documentation, and support the implementation of scalable and sustainable payroll governance practices.
As Payroll Audit Sr. Coordinator your responsibilities would consist of:
Education Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Information Systems, or a related field
Experience - 5+ years of experience in Payroll Operations, Internal Controls, Compliance, Audit, Shared Services, HR Operations, or related functions.
- Demonstrated experience managing payroll controls, governance activities, process documentation, and compliance programs.
- Experience supporting audits, risk assessments, control testing, and remediation activities.
- Experience leading process improvement, standardization, or transformation initiatives.
- Previous experience coordinating teams, projects, or cross-functional operational activities is preferred.
- Solid to advanced English proficiency is required
