Placements24 is seeking an experienced Sommelier for a premier gastronomic destination in Naucalpan, State of Mexico. You will curate a wine cellar with a focus on Mexican vintages and lead staff trainings to elevate guest experiences.

The role requires certification from a recognized sommelier program, deep global wine knowledge (especially Mexican regions), and a track record in fine dining or high-volume settings. Collaboration with culinary leadership and distributors is essential.

Qualifications

• Certified sommelier with WSET or CMS credentials.
• Extensive knowledge of global wines, with emphasis on Mexican wines.
• Experience as a sommelier in fine-dining or high-volume settings.
• Excellent palate and tasting abilities.
• Strong communication and staff training skills.

Responsibilities

• Curate and manage the restaurant's wine cellar focusing on Mexican vintages.
• Develop the wine list in collaboration with the Executive Chef and management.
• Provide expert wine recommendations to guests to enhance their dining experience.
• Conduct regular wine training sessions for service staff.
• Manage wine inventory, including ordering, receiving and storage.
• Monitor wine costs and contribute to beverage profitability targets.
• Organize wine tastings and promotions for guests.
• Maintain relationships with distributors and producers.
