Placements24 is seeking a highly knowledgeable Sommelier for a premier Monterrey restaurant. You will curate the wine and spirits program, guide guests through pairings, and lead cellar operations to ensure inventory accuracy and cost control.

The role requires extensive wine and spirits knowledge, an international palate, and certification (WSET/CMS) is desirable. You will train front-of-house staff and collaborate with the Executive Chef to elevate beverage experiences in a luxury dining

Formación

• Proven experience as a Sommelier or beverage manager.
• Extensive knowledge of international wines and spirits.
• Certification from a recognized sommelier institution (e.g., WSET, CMS) is desirable.
• Exceptional palate and understanding of flavor profiles and food pairings.
• Strong communication and staff training abilities.
• Inventory management and cost-control experience.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain the restaurant's wine and spirits list with a diverse, high-quality selection.
• Provide expert wine and spirit recommendations to guests and guide pairings with menu items.
• Manage the wine cellar, including inventory, storage, ordering, and stock rotation.
• Conduct regular inventory checks and implement cost-control measures.
• Train front-of-house staff on wine knowledge, service standards, and selling techniques.
• Organize and host wine tastings, events, and promotions.
• Stay current with industry trends and develop relationships with distributors and suppliers.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu development and wine pairing strategies.
