Job summary
Jabil in Mexico seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Leader to drive SMT processes and capex initiatives. You will guide the full spectrum of equipment and process controls to meet quality, productivity, and cost targets.
You will collaborate across Product, Process, Test, and Quality teams on NPI introductions and DFx practices, ensuring robust process validation and continuous improvement in a high-volume EMS environment.
Qualifications
- Deep knowledge of SMT manufacturing and PCB assembly processes.
- Expertise in solder paste printing, stencil design and aperture optimization.
- Experience with SMT equipment and automation including SPI and AOI.
- Strong understanding of reflow soldering, profiling and joint reliability.
- Proven ability in PFMEA, control plans and SPC/MSA practices.
- Experience with NPI, process validation and transfer to high-volume fabs.
Responsibilities
- Lead development, optimization, and sustainment of SMT manufacturing processes.
- Provide technical leadership for SMT production equipment and automation.
- Drive continuous improvement for yields, first pass quality, and OEE.
- Develop and maintain process controls for printing, placement and reflow.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for SMT defects.
- Collaborate with Product/Process/Quality teams on NPI and DFA/DFM.
- Review and approve process docs, PFMEAs, control plans, and qualifications.
- Support capacity planning, capital projects, and technology roadmaps.
