Eaton’s IS VEH EMB division is seeking an SMT Sr Engineer to design, validate and implement SMT manufacturing systems, including process documentation and control.
You will manage SAP routing, lead Kaizen events, support NPI, and drive continuous improvement through Lean and Industry 4.0 initiatives in an automotive context.
The role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years in SMT manufacturing, with IPC/IATF knowledge; English and Spanish skills are essential.
Formación
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Electronics or Mechanics (or similar).
- Minimum 3 years in SMT manufacturing and related equipment.
- Experience with process validation, PFMEA, process flow and APQP.
- IPC-A-610, IPC-7711/21, IATF-16949 knowledge; CQI-17 basic knowledge.
Responsabilidades
- Design, validate and implement SMT manufacturing systems and documentation.
- Route management in SAP; implement standard work and improve line efficiency.
- Lead capital investment projects to improve productivity and reduce costs.
- Manage SMT technicians and engineers for production support and NPI.
- Develop and implement Industry 4.0 initiatives linked to automotive mindset.
- Participate in quality system improvements using APQP methodology.
- Develop tools and fixtures for assembly and new design changes.
- Handle process abnormalities and improve yields; manage pass/reject rates.
