EPAM Systems seeks a Senior Platform Engineer to join our R&D IT product team in Mexico. You will design and evolve a cloud-native platform that supports study design activities across internal and external partners, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a BizDevOps model.

You will lead architecture decisions, implement and maintain microservices, REST API integrations, and robust CI/CD pipelines while ensuring GxP-aligned security and compliance.

Qualificações

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in cloud-native application development.
• Ability to lead technical design and architecture decisions to align with cloud-native standards.
• Hands-on experience delivering through Design, Build, Test, and Deploy phases for releases.

We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join our R&D IT product team and support a protocol design workstream within Clinical Development Platforms. This role is critical to enabling the design and execution of clinical trials by building, maintaining, and evolving a cloud-native software platform that supports study design activities across internal and external partners. You will be part of a cross-functional product team operating under a BizDevOps model, collaborating with Product Leads, DevOps Engineers, Release Managers, Business Analysts, Quality Managers, Business Partners, and Product OwnersResponsibilitiesLead technical design and architecture decisions for the protocol design platform, ensuring alignment with cloud-native and engineering standardsParticipate in business requirement gathering and design activities with business and IT stakeholders as part of the product teamCarry out delivery activities across Design, Build, Test, and Deploy phases for both regular and ad-hoc releasesDesign, build, and maintain cloud-native, full-stack microservices applications supporting study design workflows in R&D ClinicalDevelop and maintain REST API-enabled integrations between the platform and upstream and downstream systems across the broader R&D ecosystemDrive CI/CD pipeline implementation and ongoing improvements, ensuring automated build, test, and deployment processes remain robust and compliantMaintain the work product log covering functional and integration configuration across the platform landscapeMaintain configuration specification documentation, SDLC documentation, knowledge base articles, and Confluence pagesEnsure all system security and control procedures are implemented and maintained in line with GxP compliance requirementsServe as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the platform for IT and business partners across regions and business areasResolve day-to-day incidents and service requests, working toward incident reduction and automation of service-related activities, while updating ServiceNow for all incidents, service requests, changes, and problemsTroubleshoot issues alongside DevOps engineers, monitor key metrics, and maintain the overall health of the platformCollaborate with enterprise teams to resolve issues related to infrastructure, storage, databases, cloud, network, and identity managementActively participate in service transition when new applications or capabilities are introduced into the platform, ensuring stability during handover to business-as-usual supportUse JIRA to manage requirements, tasks, validation and testing, and go-live activities during releasesMaintain SLAs and customer satisfaction scores, taking proactive steps to improve themRequirementsA minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in cloud-native application developmentDemonstrated ability to lead technical design and architecture decisions, ensuring solutions align with established cloud-native and engineering standardsExperience participating in business requirement gathering and design discussions alongside business and IT stakeholdersHands-on experience managing delivery
