Job summary

EPAM Systems Inc. seeks a Platform Architect to design, run, and enhance a cloud platform with IaC-first practices on AWS, expanding to Azure and GCP. The role is primarily individual contributor with one teammate and stakeholder collaboration.

You will drive VDI/EUC implementations using Citrix, VMware Horizon, AVD, WorkSpaces, or Workspot, and lead lifecycle management with Terraform and HCP. AI-assisted tooling will speed IaC and automation efforts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cloud native development.
• 2+ years in senior/lead/manager/owner capacities.
• Experience leading engagements with teams of 5+ FTEs.
• Extensive VDI experience across major platforms.

Responsibilities

• Shape and advance the cloud platform architecture.
• Own end-to-end infrastructure lifecycle (provisioning, upgrades, decommissioning).
• Build and maintain IaC with Terraform and remote state via HCP.
• Develop and operate VDI/EUC solutions across AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Establish CI/CD automation with GitHub Actions and AI-assisted tooling.
• Collaborate with a fellow engineer and customer stakeholders.

Job description

We're looking for a Platform Architect to take charge of designing, running, and steadily enhancing our cloud platform. This position functions mainly as an individual contributor role, demanding a high degree of personal accountability and the ability to operate independently, while still partnering with one additional team member and various customer-side stakeholders. We're after someone with robust Cloud VDI / End-User Computing (EUC) background across any leading hyperscaler or enterprise VDI technology stack, whether that's Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, VMware/Omnissa Horizon, Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Amazon WorkSpaces, or Workspot.
