Job summary

EPAM Systems seeks a Senior Data Software Engineer to join our Investment Systems team.

You will design, develop, and support data-driven solutions powering liquid credit investment workflows, including trade processing, reporting, and data management. You will collaborate with portfolio managers, traders, operations, and other engineering teams to build scalable, high-performance systems with strong SQL, SSRS, and data modeling skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience with a data/backend focus.
• Strong hands-on SQL skills including query optimization, stored procedures, and data modeling.
• Experience building and enhancing reporting using SSRS and SQL-based data models.
• Expertise in writing and optimizing complex stored procedures and queries.
• Solid fundamentals in data structures, OOP, and system design.
• Excellent communication skills with stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent English at B2 level or higher, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software solutions that support liquid credit investment processes.
• Integrate data across systems to ensure reliable information flows.
• Apply hands-on SQL Server expertise to build database-driven solutions.
• Collaborate with front office, operations, and product teams to align requirements.
• Optimize database performance and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Participate in system architecture discussions and engineering best practices.
