AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our remote team. You will design and optimize data pipelines, implement Bronze/Silver/Gold data layering in Snowflake, and ensure reliable ETL with Airflow and dbt.

You will also audit code, automate tests, and minimize downtime for downstream BI tools while collaborating with a global engineering group. Your role emphasizes Python/SQL development, scalable DAGs, and modern data stack architecture to support future AI initiatives.

Formación

• 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Hands-on production experience with Apache Airflow / Astronomer.
• Strong proficiency with dbt Core and related CI/CD patterns.
• Experience building deployment pipelines and automated regression tests for data teams.
• Solid software/data engineering background with Python and SQL.

Responsabilidades

• Support bronze/silver/gold layering across Snowflake with architecture decisions.
• Build automated testing and failure alerting for ETL and orchestration.
• Migrate Paradime jobs into orchestrated Airflow DAGs.
• Work within data governance and access controls for PII data pipelines.
• Translate dbt schedules into scalable Airflow DAGs using modern Python patterns.
• Maintain integration points between Paradime and Airflow in production.
• Audit dbt codebases to identify bottlenecks and reduce compute costs.
• Collaborate with Lead Data Engineer to evolve data stack for AI layers.
• Establish automatic error handling, alerting, and recovery across pipelines.
• Ensure no downtime for downstream BI tools during infra changes.
