AgileEngine in Puebla, Mexico is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with deep Airflow and dbt expertise to support Medallion Architecture implementation, migrate scheduled ETL jobs into orchestrated Airflow DAGs within a modern Snowflake data stack. You will build complex DAG architectures using Python and audit dbt codebases for performance and cost optimization.

Formación

• 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Airflow / Astronomer with hands-on production experience building, debugging, and managing complex DAG architectures using Python.
• dbt (Data Build Tool) expertise with core architecture, macros, packages, and CI/CD patterns.
• Advanced Git & Data CI/CD: deploying pipelines and automated regression testing for data teams.
• Production Data Engineering: strong Python and SQL expertise.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

Responsabilidades

• Support implementation of Bronze/Silver/Gold layering in Snowflake with architecture input from Lead Data Engineer.
• Build automated testing and failure alerting across Paradime (ETL) and Airflow orchestration.
• Migrate select Paradime jobs into orchestrated Airflow DAGs.
• Work within data governance and access controls for pipelines touching PII data.
• Translate dbt schedules into scalable Airflow DAGs using modern Python patterns.
• Maintain integration points between Paradime and Airflow.
• Audit dbt codebases to identify bottlenecks and reduce compute costs.
• Collaborate to evolve data stack for future AI semantic layers and downstream consumption.
• Establish automated error handling and failure recovery routines.
• Ensure no downtime or data loss for downstream BI tools during changes.
• Tackle additional data engineering priorities as needed.
