Job summary

Capmation seeks a Senior Business Analyst to own backlog strategy and drive complex initiatives across business and technical teams. You will translate processes into viable work, validate feasibility with Tech Leads, and maintain backlog health while guiding UAT outcomes for major releases.

You will mentor analysts, lead discovery sessions, and ensure adherence to Capmation's delivery standards, enabling high-impact, end-to-end business solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of business analysis experience, including senior or lead ownership of complex initiatives.
• Translate complex problems into build-ready, technically viable work.
• Validate feasibility early with Tech Leads — architecture, integrations, data, and non-functional impacts.
• Document and validate current- and future-state business processes (e.g. BPMN).
• Own backlog strategy and UAT outcomes for complex releases.
• Strong SDLC and agile delivery knowledge; proficient with Azure DevOps and Jira.
• Experience with SQL and BI tools for data-informed decisions.
• Mentor Business Analysts; AI-tool knowledge; English at C1+ level.

Responsibilities

• Own backlog strategy for complex initiatives: prioritization, sequencing, tradeoffs.
• Translate complex business problems into build-ready, technically viable work.
• Ensure business process clarity across current and future states.
• Maintain backlog health across all work items, including defects and changes.
• Set the standard for story readiness and two-sprint planning ahead.
• Lead advanced discovery and whiteboard sessions with stakeholders.
• Validate technical feasibility early with Tech Leads on impacts.
• Represent business priorities at a senior level and manage tradeoffs.
• Own UAT outcomes for complex releases and end-to-end processes.
• Maintain delivery governance and partner with PMs on mitigations.
• Mentor and elevate Business Analysts; contribute to maturity improvements.
• Enforce Capmation's internal processes on initiatives (time tracking, notifications).
• Model and reinforce process adherence; escalate gaps or risks.
