Capmation is seeking a Senior Project Manager / Business Analyst to own delivery outcomes on complex engagements. You will translate business objectives into build-ready work, drive story readiness, and validate outcomes through UAT, while strengthening PMO practices.

You will manage the backlog, forecast delivery, and collaborate with Tech Leads on architecture and data impacts, operating in a hybrid delivery model across client environments.

As a Senior Project Manager / Business Analyst at Capmation, you are accountable for delivery outcomes on our most complex, high-risk, high-visibility, or technically demanding engagements. This is a hybrid role built on a project management foundation: you shape the delivery approach, anticipate risks before they materialize, and maintain client confidence through uncertainty and change while also owning business clarity, backlog strategy, and requirements quality on the same engagement.

You are trusted to operate independently in environments with evolving requirements, competing priorities, technical complexity, and heightened stakeholder expectations. You bring strong delivery judgment, understand when to challenge assumptions, and make informed decisions that protect project outcomes. Beyond understanding what needs to be delivered, you understand why it matters, connecting delivery decisions to business objectives and helping teams focus on outcomes rather than simply completing tasks.

As both the delivery owner and the business/product owner, you translate business objectives into build-ready work, drive story readiness, and validate outcomes through UAT; closing the gap between what the client needs and what the team builds. You also contribute to strengthening delivery and analysis practices across the PMO and continuously expand your technical understanding.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Senior Project Manager / Business Analyst, you will:

Delivery Ownership

• Own delivery outcomes on complex projects, including timelines, commitments, stakeholder alignment, and client confidence.
• Lead projects with significant ambiguity, technical complexity, multiple dependencies, or heightened business impact.
• Shape MVP, release, and delivery strategies based on project constraints, risks, and priorities.
• Forecast delivery outcomes and identify risks before they become project issues or client escalations.
• Own the project management board end-to-end: set up, structure, and run the delivery board in Azure DevOps and Jira, using delivery metrics to drive decisions.
• Lead difficult conversations involving changing priorities, delivery resets, scope challenges, and stakeholder alignment.

Business Analysis & Product Ownership

• Own the product backlog: prioritization, sequencing, and day-to-day tradeoff decisions across competing business and technical constraints.
• Translate business objectives and complex processes into build-ready, technically viable work: epics, features, stories, and clear, testable acceptance criteria.
• Drive story readiness: ensure work meets Capmation's Definition of Ready (DoR) and keep the backlog refined at least two sprints ahead.
• Lead requirements discovery and whiteboard sessions that produce clear decisions and actionable outcomes.
• Ensure business process clarity: understand, document, and validate current- and future-state business processes impacted by delivery.
• Own UAT end-to-end: define scenarios, coordinate client participation, document results, and validate outcomes prior to sign-off.
• Validate technical feasibility early; partner with Tech Leads on architecture, integration, data, and non-functional impacts.

Leadership & Practice

• Connect delivery and business decisions to client objectives and help teams understand the intended outcomes behind the work.
• Coach and mentor Project Managers/Business Analysts through complex delivery and analysis situations.
• Contribute improvements to delivery practices, forecasting approaches, requirements quality, governance processes, and PMO standards.
• Continuously expand technical understanding through project exposure, collaboration with technical teams, and self-development.

PROCESS, GOVERNANCE, AND BEST PRACTICES

• Enforce Capmation delivery standards, governance expectations, and forecasting practices.
• Use delivery metrics to drive decisions and actions, not just status reporting.
• Maintain accurate and decision-ready project information, requirements, and UAT artifacts within required systems of record (Azure DevOps, SharePoint).
• Ensure delivery plans, forecasts, risks, dependencies, backlog, and stakeholder communications remain current and actionable.
• Reinforce delivery and analysis best practices and challenge ineffective approaches.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years delivering custom software development projects: high-code, built from scratch; including leading complex, high-risk, or technically demanding engagements.
• Owns the project management board end-to-end: sets up, structures, and runs the delivery board in Azure DevOps and Jira, using delivery metrics to drive decisions, not just report status.
• Strong command of the SDLC and agile delivery, with the judgment to adapt the approach rather than follow steps.
• Proven ability to shape the delivery approach, forecast outcomes, and maintain client confidence through ambiguity and change.
• Primary client-facing owner of delivery communication; sets and manages timelines, release expectations, and escalation paths directly with client stakeholders, and leads high-stakes conversations without losing client confidence.
• Owns the product backlog end-to-end prioritization, sequencing, and tradeoff decisions, and translates business objectives and complex processes into build-ready, technically viable epics, features, stories, and testable acceptance criteria.
• Drives requirements discovery and story readiness; runs discovery and whiteboard sessions and keeps the backlog refined to Capmation's Definition of Ready at least two sprints ahead.
• Owns UAT end-to-end: scenario definition, client participation, and outcome validation prior to sign-off.
• Documents and validates current- and future-state business processes (e.g. BPMN) and validates technical feasibility early with Tech Leads (architecture, integrations, data, non-functional impacts).
• Technical fluency sufficient to facilitate discussions on integrations, APIs, and data architecture.
• Experience coaching or mentoring Project Managers and Business Analysts.
• Active and strategic AI-tool knowledge.
• C1+ English required, with experience in global and distributed environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Project management certification - e.g. PMP (PMI).
• Scrum / Product Owner certifications - e.g. CSM / CSPO (Scrum Alliance) or PSM / PSPO (Scrum.org).
• Experience with low-code, integration-heavy, or application modernization initiatives.
• Experience working remotely across multiple industries and client types.
• Business analysis certification - e.g. CCBA or CBAP (IIBA).
• Working knowledge of SQL and BI tools (Power BI and/or Tableau) for data-informed decisions.
• Experience with APIs, integrations, cloud environments, or data-pipeline collaboration.
