SGI Global, LLC is seeking an experienced Finance Support Specialist based in Mexico to provide direct support to its U.S.-based Finance Department. The role requires strong accounting knowledge, financial reporting, budgeting, and advanced Excel capabilities to transform data into clear reports for management.

The successful candidate will own financial requests from start to finish, reconcile data across sources, meet U.S.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of hands-on accounting, financial reporting, or project finance experience.
• Ability to interpret financial information, not just compile data.
• Advanced Excel skills for large datasets and reporting.
• Fluent English, with remote collaboration and US Eastern Time availability.

Responsabilidades

• Support preparation, reconciliation, and documentation of client and government invoices per billing requirements.
• Prepare and maintain financial and management reports, budgets, reconciliations, and schedules.
• Analyze financial information, identify variances, and address discrepancies.
• Reconcile data across accounting records, project data, invoices, timesheets, and payroll.
• Support budget-to-actual analysis, forecasting, and financial performance reporting.
• Extract and interpret financial data from Unanet and other sources.
• Develop advanced Excel workbooks for reporting and decision-making.
• Assist month-end closing activities and provide supporting documentation.
• Review project codes, billing rates, indirect costs, travel costs, and related info.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies between systems, Excel reports, and contractual requirements.
• Prepare ad hoc analyses and reports for CFO and U.S. Finance Department.
• Maintain supporting documentation and audit trails for transactions and reports.
• Communicate findings clearly and escalate material risks when needed.
• Coordinate with U.S.-based Finance, Contracts, Operations, and Program teams.
