Job summary

Confidential is seeking an Accounting Analyst based in Mexico City to manage the processing, recording, updating and reconciliation of fiscal information in line with policy. You will perform day-to-day financial processing to keep finances up-to-date and accurate.

The role requires 2+ years in financial systems, budgets and reporting, with strong Excel skills and solid understanding of accounting principles. You will support month-end and year-end closes and ensure compliance across departments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with financial systems, budgets, reporting and auditing.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• Strong Excel and data analysis abilities.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records and financial reports.
• Analyze operations, costs, revenues to project future finances.
• Develop and analyze budgets; compare budget to actual costs.
• Prepare financial management reports and month/quarter/year-end close.
• Prepare P&L statements and cost accounting reports.
• Prepare entries to general ledger and document transactions.
• Inform managers of accounting procedures to ensure compliance.
• Research discrepancies to ensure accuracy before processing.
• Explain invoices and policies to managers, vendors, and clients.
• Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
